After the
unsuccessful attempt in 1730 -31 to obtain permission from the Nayak of
Tanjore to mint silver coins, such a permission was
obtained in 1753. So minting of Royalin started again and now in
bigger quantities under the next three kings F5, C7 and F6. The Danes were also permitted to mint In 1755 the Danes got the nawab’s
paravana allowing them to trade everywhere in
Bengal, Bihar and Orissa against a tax of 2.5 per cent. The Danes were also allowed to establish a settlement at Serampore |
